libgeos-c1 software package provides Geometry engine for Geographic Information Systems - C Library, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgeos-c1
libgeos-c1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgeos-c1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgeos-c1 *
You will get with libgeos-c1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
